The only mention of modular in last week’s Budget was the government’s plan to launch a competition for small reactors as part of efforts to deliver more nuclear energy.

With the myriad challenges facing the country, it is perhaps not surprising that MMC - still a relatively small sub-sector of construction - got overlooked.

Nevertheless, the lack of new government help is not putting off some major firms.
