Goldman Sachs-backed TopHat has revealed plans to take on a second factory, giving the industry a much-needed confidence boost.

After the collapse of Caledonian Modular and the failure of House by Urban Splash, the sector’s naysayers had plenty to get their teeth into.

But as TopHat’s managing director has told me this week, it has finally been inspired to press the button based on where it sees the market heading.
